Adam White - Social Media Speaker
I'm a punk rock guy. For over 10 years I've been a news editor, content creator and community manager for Punknews.org, one of the world's most established, respected and well-trafficked online niche music communities. The ideals of classic punk rock dovetail wonderfully into the social media revolution, be it the value of sweat equity, the necessity to DIY, or the absolute importance of authentic rapport building.
I love talking to small business owners about the changing landscape of the Internet. It excites me that with the cost of entry dropping they have all the tools at their disposal to build stronger relationships than much larger corporations. Social media fits them like a glove, they just don't know it yet.
In the Niagara region I've spoken to a number of business and service organizations about these topics, including the Chamber of Commerce groups for both Niagara Falls and Fort Erie. I've run e-business seminars for the City of Niagara Falls Small Business Enterprise Centrer as well as the St. Catharines Enterprise Centre. I've also spoken to larger national industry groups such as the Canadian Digital Media Network. As a founding member of Niagara's Social Media Club and an assistant Dale Carnegie business coach I continue to strive to connect and influence as many people as I can.
